Final meeting of the i-LINK+2020 20353 project "Linking Ice, gas and dust: Laboratory AstroChemistry (LILAC)". November, 23-25, 2022. Press Room, Serrano, 113, Madrid.

The "VIII AUSE Congress and III ALBA User's Meeting" will take place at the CSIC campus in Madrid from October 9-11, 2017. The conference is organized by Mari Cruz García-Gutiérrez, AUSE President from the IEM-CSIC, in collaboration with ALBA synchrotron. The event will focus on the latest developments, improvements and challenges of these large facilities and will present the most relevant results of the use of synchrotron light in topics as diverse as: Nanoscience, information and communication technologies, energy, environment, catalysis, medicine, cell biology, paleontology and cultural heritage.

The Workshop "METODOLOGÍAS AVANZADAS NO DESTRUCTIVAS: ANÁLISIS DEL PATRIMONIO (MetAnD)", organized by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP), in collaboration with CSIC will take place from May 30 to 31, 2017 in c/Serrano 144, Madrid. The Workshop "METODOLOGÍAS AVANZADAS NO DESTRUCTIVAS: ANÁLISIS DEL PATRIMONIO (MetAnD)", organized by the ENVIMED Department of the Institute of the Structure of Matter, in collaboration with the Professor Lucía Fernández Carrasco, of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña and the Dra. Sofía Aparicio Secanellas, of the ITEFI-CSIC, will take place from December 13 to 14, 2016 in the CSIC Headquarters.

The "European Conference on Laboratory Astrophysics. ECLA2016: Gas on the Rocks" took place from November 21 to 25, 2016 in the CSIC Headquarters, organized by scientists of the Instituto de Estructura de la Materia, CSIC and the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid, CSIC in collaboration with well known foreign scientists.
This conference aims to address the state of the art in laboratory astrophysics within the context of new astrophysical data and to improve communication and collaboration between astrophysicists, physicists and chemists.

On March from 7th to 8th, 2016, took place in Madrid the workshop "Astrophysical Ices in the Lab (AILab)", organized by the Department of Molecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter, in collaboration with the Professor Naoki Watanabe group of the Institute of Low Temperature Physics of the Hokkaido University at Sapporo (Japan).

On September from 7th to 10th, 2015, took place in Madrid the "6 th International Conference on Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy and its Applications", organized by the el Soft and Polymeric Matter Group, of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter. On April 26th to 30th, 2015, took place the workshop AMOC 2015 "Anharmonicity in medium-sized molecules and clusters";, in the Serrano 117 Conference Room of the CSIC, Madrid. It is organizated by Maria Luisa Senent, from the IEM, jointly by the Associated Unit of IEM and Huelva University with the (IFF).

On October 17th, 2014, took place the workshop 7th Madrid Meeting on Ultracold Atoms, in the Serrano Campus of CSIC, Madrid. It was organized jointly by the Quantum Information and Foundations Group (QUINFOG) from the Institute for Fundamental Physics (IFF), and the Mesoscopic and Strongly Correlated Systems Group from the Institute for the Structure of Matter (IEM).

The workshop "Helium-­‐mediated Synthesis, Soft-­‐landing and Spectroscopy of Metal Nanoparticles on Surfaces" (HeSSSMe) took place on next October 10th and 11th at the CSIC Serrano-Campus in Madrid. It was organized by Pilar de Lara-Castells (Workshop Chair), from Instituto de Física Fundamental (IFF), José Ma. Fernández, from Instituto de Estructura de la Materia (IEM), Matí Pi, form University of Barcelona, and Alexander O. Mitrushchenkov, from the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (France). The workshop is funded by the COST Action "Convergent Distributed Environment for Computational Spectroscopy" (CoDECS).

On July 7th and 8th, 2014, took place the workshop Cold Plasmas and Astrochemistry: Gas and Dust in the Institute of the Structure of Matter (July 7th) and the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid, CSIC. It was organized jointly by members of the Department of Molecular Physics from the Institute of the Structure of Matter, CSIC, and members of the Institute LAPLACE/CNRS and the University of Toulouse (France), and it is part of the activities of the scientific projects Synergy-NANOCOSMOS (UE), Concolider Ingenio-ASTROMOL (MINECO) and 3PC (French Administration).

The Shape of Space, from Black Holes to the Universe. Conference by J.P. Luminet, Research Director in CNRS/Observatoire de Paris, organized by IEM and the Embassy of France. It took place on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 16:00 pm at the CFMAC Conference Room, Serrano 121.

The SOFTMATPOL Group of IEM organizes a scientific meeting to present his collaboration with two spin-off and the sincrotron Alba. It took place on Thursday, November 28, 2013 in the Conference room of the CFMAC, Serrano 121. The program is available here.

The Gravitation and Cosmology Group of the IEM organizes the 1st i-Link Workshop Macro-from-Micro: Quantum Gravity and Cosmology. It took place in the Main Campus of the CSIC, the days 24rd-27th of June 2013.

International Conference on Quantum Gravity "Loops 11", organized by the Gravitational Physics Group of the Theoretical Physics and Chemistry Department of the Instituto de Estructura de la Materia. This conference celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Loops formalism for Quantum Gravity. It took place in the Main Campus of the CSIC, the days 23rd-28th of May 2011.

On 30 september and 1 October, 2010, took place in Madrid the "4 th Meeting on High Performance Computing in Molecular Simulations", organized by the Group of Molecular Structure and Properties of Polymers (GEMPPO) of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter and the Supercomputer Center of Galicia (CESGA).

On September from 7th to 10th, 2010, took place in Madrid the "6 th International Conference on Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy and its Applications", organized by the el Group of Dynamics and Structure of Polymeric Soft Condensed Matter , of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.

On June from 21th to 25th, 2010, took place in Jaca (Huesca) the summer school entitled: PLASMONIC: ENHANCED SENSING ON METAL NANOSTRUCTURES , organized by members of the Department of Vibrational Spectroscopy and Multiphoton Processes from the Institute of the Structure of the Matter, it is part of the scientific activities of the Spectroscopy Committee of SEDOPTICA. The summer Course is devoted to PhD students as well as to young researchers interested in plasmonic sensing. A limited number of grants for students will be available.

"3 rd Meeting on High Performance Computing in Molecular Simulations", organized by the Group of Molecular Structure and Properties of Polymers of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter. It took place in Madrid on 1-2 October, 2009.

Jornada científico-técnica sobre "Caracterización de macromoléculas mediante cromatografía de permeación en gel (GPC/SEC)", organizado por el Grupo de Estructura Molecular y Propiedades de Polímeros, perteneciente al Departamento de Física Macromolecular del Instituto de Estructura de la Materia, en colaboración con el IESMAT.

The Summer School "Spectroscopy of the Atmospheres" took place in Jaca (Huesca) between June 28 to July 10, 2009, organized by the Department of Molecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.

The Workshop "Theoretical and Computational Methods for Molecular Spectroscopy and Collisions: Application to Astrophysical and Atmospherically Relevant Systems" took place in Granada between 7 and 10 May 2009, organized by the Department of Molecular and Infrared Astrophysics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.

The "19th Europhysics Conference on the Atomic and Molecular Physics of Ionized Gases" took place in Granada between 15 and 19 July 2008 ( see here ). The Department of Molecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter participated in its organization.

The "II Meeting on High Yield Computation in Molecular Simulations" took place on June 3, 2008. The Group of Molecular Structure and Properties of Polymers of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter participated in its organization.

The "First Meeting on Controlled Architecture Polyolefins" took place on October 18, 2007, organized by the Group of Molecular Structure and Properties of Polymers of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.

The "II Workshop on Applications of Synchrotron Light to Non-Crystalline Diffraction in Materials and Life Sciences", took place in Madrid on October 15, 16 and 17, 2007, organized by the Group of Dynamics and Structure of Polymeric Soft Condensed Matter of the Department of Macromolecular Physics of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.

On May 21-23, 2007 took place on the CSIC main campus the "First National Congress on Astronomic Instrumentation", sponsored by the Astrid Network of the Region of Madrid. Both the Organizing Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee benefitted from the participation of members of DAMIR, of the Institute of the Structure of Matter.
